Job summary

Perdue Foods is seeking a Building & Grounds Associate to keep our facility in top condition, ensuring safety, cleanliness, and efficiency across grounds and workspaces. You will contribute to a clean, safe environment for the entire operation and support routine upkeep, material movement, and general facility care.

Qualifications

• Experience following safety guidelines and PPE usage.
• Ability to perform routine upkeep and minor repairs.
• Willingness to work outdoors and at heights as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance on buildings and exterior areas (grass cutting, weed control).
• Address USDA-related issues as needed.
• Maintain sanitary conditions outside buildings and grounds (trash removal, cleaning areas).
• Perform painting and minor carpentry around the facility.
• Replace ceiling tiles and basic lighting maintenance per supervisor.
• Operate equipment for drainage clearing and power washing.
• Work at heights over 50 feet.
• Carry out general plumbing repairs including drain cleaning.
