Job summary

Purdue University Northwest – Westville campus is seeking an Assistant Facilities and Grounds Manager to lead Building Services, Facilities Maintenance, Grounds, and General Services. You will coordinate daily operations, oversee staff, and ensure safety, cleanliness, and functionality of campus facilities.

The role supports leadership across building systems, grounds, and general services, with a focus on high standards and customer service.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing maintenance or facilities in an institutional or commercial environment.
• Strong supervisory and leadership abilities.
• Knowledge of campus safety, building codes, and operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative supervision to Building Services staff and assign tasks.
• Monitor progress and ensure timely completion of work orders.
• Oversee workflow to ensure efficient operations and high-quality work.
• Inspect buildings, classrooms, and equipment for safety and cleanliness.
• Coordinate staffing for classes, events, and campus coverage.
• Collaborate with the Facilities and Grounds Manager to uphold standards.
