Job summary

Union County Ohio is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform repair and preventative maintenance across county buildings, grounds, and equipment under the Facilities/Maintenance Manager. The focus is custodial, cleaning, facilities, and grounds tasks with on-call responsibilities for extra assignments and overtime.

Responsibilities include completing work orders, minor repairs, grounds upkeep, cleaning, securing facilities, and assisting with vehicle and equipment maintenance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent required.
• Experience in buildings/grounds maintenance or related trades preferred.
• Must possess a valid Ohio driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform repair and preventive maintenance of county buildings, grounds, and equipment.
• Complete routine inspections and maintain inventory of tools and custodial supplies.
• Assist with custodial duties and cleaning tasks as needed.
• Work on-call for extra assignments and overtime.
• Adhere to safety standards and report hazards.
• Secure facilities and assist with equipment servicing.
