Job summary

Genesee Lake School and Prader-Willi Homes, part of the MyPath family, are seeking a dependable Maintenance Assistant to support building operations, grounds upkeep and equipment maintenance at residential and school programs. You’ll handle painting, plumbing, electrical tasks, and general repairs while contributing to a safe, welcoming environment for residents and staff.

The role emphasizes hands-on maintenance, teamwork with the Facilities Manager, and adaptability to indoor and outdoor work

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum one year of maintenance or facilities experience required.
• Preferred experience in carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, painting, floor care, cleaning, snow removal and boiler maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair facilities as assigned by the Facilities Manager (e.g., painting, minor repairs, moving furniture).
• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance of buildings and equipment.
• Assist with grounds care, seasonal tasks (mowing, snow removal) and safety concerns.
• Operate and care for tools and machinery; support vehicle maintenance and larger projects.
