Job summary

Premier Genesee is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our facilities team at the Batavia, New York residence. The role emphasizes reliable upkeep of a state-of-the-art 160-bed facility, focusing on safety, comfort, and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities include routine maintenance across plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems, performing preventative tasks, and maintaining accurate records of work orders and inventory.

Qualifications

• Prior maintenance or facilities experience preferred.
• Electrical, plumbing and HVAC system understanding.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Familiar with building codes and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical and HVAC repairs.
• Assist with preventative maintenance and routine inspections to identify potential issues.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues promptly to minimize downtime.
• Assist with installation and repair of equipment and fixtures.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities (work orders, inventory).
• Collaborate with other departments for effective communication and coordination.
• Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives.
