Job summary

City of Twin Falls is seeking a Maintenance Worker to help maintain the Twin Falls County Fairgrounds and its facilities. You will assist with mowing, grounds upkeep, and event setup, and operate a range of maintenance equipment to support daily operations and special events.

The role requires flexibility for evenings, weekends, and overtime during the annual fair and rodeo. A valid driver's license and ability to pass background checks are preferred.

Qualifications

• General knowledge of building and grounds maintenance.
• Basic knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, and general repair work.
• Ability to safely operate or be trained to operate maintenance equipment.
• Ability to transport materials and move equipment as needed.
• Knowledge of basic equipment inspections and safe procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and appearance of buildings, common areas, and outdoor spaces.
• Assist with mowing, weed control, irrigation, snow removal, and grounds upkeep.
• Set up and tear down tables, chairs, fencing, and event equipment.
• Prepare fairgrounds for the annual Twin Falls County Fair & Rodeo and major events.
• Assist with cleanup before, during, and after events.
• Safely operate maintenance vehicles and equipment including tractors and mowers.
• Report malfunctions and safety hazards to supervisor.
• Follow safety procedures and wear PPE as required.
