Job summary

Chugach Government Solutions in Annapolis Junction, MD is seeking a General Maintenance Worker to operate, maintain and repair facility systems and heavy equipment. You will receive and evaluate work orders, plan tasks, and ensure timely completion with safety compliance.

Required are a high school diploma or GED, 2 years of O&M experience with heavy equipment, and proficiency with hand/power tools. U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain clearance are needed.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED equivalent.
• Two years of operations and maintenance experience with heavy equipment.
• Good working knowledge of hand and power tools.
• Ability to pass pre-hire background and drug screen.
• U.S. Citizen and eligibility for clearance.
• Valid state driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, repair and install equipment and systems for facility and heavy equipment.
• Plan and layout work from blueprints or instructions.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments.
• Plan, organize work and meet deadlines; respond to emergencies.
• Coordinate with other trades and assist as needed.
• Adhere to safety policies and SOPs.
