Job summary

Chugach Government Solutions is seeking a General Maintenance Worker to provide daily HVAC mechanical maintenance for all assigned facilities at the Annapolis Junction, MD site. The incumbent will inspect, repair, and maintain mechanical systems, troubleshoot, and assist HVAC mechanics on complex issues.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 2+ years HVAC experience, Universal CFC certification, and the ability to obtain required clearance.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent GED.
• At least two (2) years of experience in HVAC service and maintenance.
• Possess Universal CFC certification.
• Familiarity with applicable HVAC codes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical work independently on equipment.
• Utilize diagrams to locate failures.
• Identify root causes of mechanical failures.
• Complete all tasks timely, accurately and completely.
• Coordinate with personnel to select correct materials and parts.
• Generate and submit outage requests.
• Respond to emergency site maintenance.
• Perform on-call and preventive maintenance duties.
• Maintain inventories and prepare material requisitions for replacements.
