Job summary

Qualifications

• Must possess, as a minimum, a 10th grade education.
• Ability to make independent decisions and follow instructions.
• Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, and the public.
• Willingness to learn and adopt new maintenance practices.

Responsibilities

• Follow maintenance schedules for assigned areas or shifts.
• Report accidents/incidents to supervisor promptly.
• Coordinate daily maintenance with nursing services for resident areas.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on facility and equipment (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, etc.).
• Replace burned-out bulbs and clean windows and screens as directed.
• Maintain supplies and ensure equipment is cleaned and stored after use.
