Job summary

Pikes Peak Post Acute is seeking a Maintenance Technician to uphold grounds, facility, and equipment in a safe, compliant, and efficient manner. You will follow defined maintenance schedules and coordinate with nursing services for routine tasks in resident areas.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of a 10th-grade education and can make independent decisions while following instructions. Strong interpersonal skills are essential for working with residents, staff, and visitors.

Qualifications

• Must possess the ability to make independent decisions and follow instructions.
• Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, and the general public.
• Willingness to learn and apply new maintenance methods and principles.
• Ability to perform mathematical concepts (fractions, percentages, ratios, proportions).
• Ability to interpret written, oral, or diagrammatic instructions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain grounds, facility, and equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
• Follow maintenance schedules for assigned shift or area.
• Report accidents/incidents to supervisor promptly.
• Coordinate daily maintenance with nursing services when in resident living areas.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, mechanical).
• Replace bulbs and maintain lighting and safety equipment.
• Ensure confidentiality of resident care information and report unauthorized disclosures.
