Job summary

Obsolete Site at Fort Benning, GA seeks a general laborer to support maintenance and facilities work on base. The role involves outdoor grounds duties, equipment operation and basic building support.

You will perform mowing, sod laying, digging, cleaning and material handling with adherence to safety and base procedures. This is a full-time on-site position offering stable hours and benefits.

Qualifications

• Three (3) months of laboring experience required.
• Must have the ability use, control and clean tools and power equipment used.
• Ability to follow oral and/or written instructions involving duties with several distinct tasks or steps without constant supervisor of each task assigned

Responsibilities

• Mow grass, lay sod, weed flowerbeds, trim edges.
• Load/unload materials; move with wheelbarrows and dollies; organize supplies; collect refuse.
• Excavate and level ground; tamp soil; clean rugs and floors.
• Maintain machines; clean and replace room fixtures; use cleaning chemicals.
• Notify supervisor for materials; move heavy furniture and equipment; perform other duties as assigned.
