Job summary

The Salvation Army Kroc Center in South Bend, IN is hiring Facilities Staff to help maintain clean, safe, and welcoming spaces for guests, members, staff, and the community. This hands-on, part-time role supports daily facility operations under the Facilities Director.

Two part-time positions are available at 19 hours per week, with a pay rate of $15.00 per hour. Duties include cleaning, repairs, grounds maintenance, and assisting events, with safety and quality expectations throughout.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalency.
• Background checks: position requires a background check to be completed.
• Experience: demonstrated ability to work without supervision.
• Certifications: valid driver’s license; Safe From Harm training within first 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness and safety of all private and public areas.
• Repair and replace fixtures and equipment as necessary to assure a safe facility.
• Adhere to, and reorganize if needed, the daily custodial schedule for the building.
• Maintain the grounds, including landscaping and snow removal, under supervision of the Facility Director.
• Assist in the execution of events as directed by a supervisor.
• Other tasks as assigned by leadership.
