Job summary

KBR is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator (Contingency) to perform general maintenance, repairs, and support tasks at TACOM (RRAD). The role includes operating vehicles to move materials and assisting with preventive maintenance and facility upkeep.

This contingent position supports Army maintenance and logistics operations under contract. The position requires a high school diploma, 2–4 years of related experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to obtain a U.S.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
• Typically 2–4 years of maintenance or facilities experience.
• Valid driver’s license; ability to operate government or commercial vehicles.
• Basic knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electrical, mechanical trades.
• Able to work safely in physically demanding environments.
• Must be able to obtain/maintain U.S. government security clearance.
• U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance tasks including minor repairs to facilities, equipment, and infrastructure.
• Assist with preventive maintenance and upkeep of buildings, work sites, and equipment.
• Operate motor vehicles to transport materials, tools, equipment, and personnel.
• Load, unload, and move materials to support maintenance and logistics operations.
• Perform inspections of work areas to identify maintenance needs or safety issues.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles in proper working condition.
• Follow all safety, environmental, and operational procedures.
• Properly use personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and vehicle use as required.
• Support facility upkeep including cleaning, painting, and general labor tasks.
• Coordinate with supervisors and maintenance personnel on work assignments.
• Support inspections, audits, and government reviews as required.
