Walmart Inc. is hiring a Technician, Facility Services, Food Equipment in Dawsonville, GA to perform preventive maintenance on food equipment, facilities, and fixtures. You’ll inspect, repair, and replace components while coordinating with contractors and vendors to keep operations running smoothly.

This full-time role requires multi-craft skills (plumbing, electrical, carpentry) and the ability to manage work orders, safety standards, and on-call rotation. Competitive hourly pay with benefits.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.
• License in a related trade in the city/state where the job is located.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report.
• Commercial driving record with no DUI/DWI in the last 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine preventive maintenance on food equipment, facilities, and fixtures following established schedules and guidelines.
• Inspects, cleans, and repairs equipment; observes wear and tear; determines replacement needs.
• Performs major and minor repairs using crafts such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and material handling equipment.
• Operates, tests, and diagnoses equipment; dismantles machines to access defective parts.
• Manages work orders, maintenance schedules, and contractors; records costs and parts usage.
• Coordinates with vendors, orders parts, and tracks orders; ensures safety and compliance with regulations.
• Leads teams and participates in on-call rotation to support after-hours needs.
