Job summary

Helia Healthcare, a skilled nursing facility in Missouri, is looking for a dependable maintenance helper to be the Fix-It Sidekick. You will assist the Maintenance Director with daily tasks, handle basic repairs, painting, and keep resident areas clean, safe, and well-maintained.

This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, be at least 21, have a Missouri driver's license, and enjoy working both indoors and outdoors.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Valid Missouri driver's license required.
• At least 1 year of maintenance, general repair, or related experience preferred.
• Basic familiarity with hand tools and general maintenance practices.
• Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds, with or without accommodation.
• Willingness to work indoors and outdoors in different weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Lend a helping hand with daily maintenance tasks and work orders.
• Assist with painting, patching, basic repairs, and equipment upkeep.
• Maintain resident rooms, hallways, and common areas.
• Mow, trim, landscape, snow removal, and keep entrances clear.
• Report maintenance concerns or safety hazards to the Maintenance Director.
• Follow safety practices and respect residents' privacy.
• Move furniture and set up spaces as needed.
