Job summary

Valley West Health in Belleville, IL is seeking a Maintenance Marvel to keep our facility running smoothly. You’ll handle preventive maintenance, painting, light electrical, plumbing, and basic repairs with a positive attitude.

You’ll be part of a friendly, safety‑minded team, rotating tasks and helping outdoors as needed. A high school diploma, at least 1 year in maintenance, a valid IL/MO Class D driver’s license, and the ability to lift 50 pounds are required.

Maintenance Marvel (a.k.a. The Fix-It Hero We've Been Waiting For)

Do you have a knack for making things work-and work better? Our Maintenance team is on the lookout for someone who can handle a wrench, a paintbrush, and maybe even a snow shovel with equal skill (and a smile). If you're the type who can hear a mysterious rattle down the hall and know exactly where it's coming from, we want you on our squad.

What You'll Be Doing (aka: Your Hero Duties):

• Keep our building running smoothly by tackling preventive maintenance tasks before they become "call the maintenance guy!" moments.
• Channel your inner handyman (or handywoman!) to take on painting, light electrical work, plumbing fixes, and the occasional drain that insists on being dramatic.
• Show off your green thumb (or snow-clearing skills) with mowing, trimming, and keeping our outdoor spaces looking as great as what's inside.
• Take on other adventures as assigned- because around here, every day is a little different (and that's half the fun).

What You'll Need:

• Muscles capable of lifting or moving up to 50 pounds (bonus points if you can do it while whistling).
• Eyes sharp enough to notice when something's off-and the know-how to fix it before anyone else even realizes.
• A good attitude, a steady hand, and maybe a few bad jokes for the maintenance shop bulletin board.
