Job summary

Vaakawi in Arizona is seeking an Executive - Facility to lead strategic and operational management of our physical assets and infrastructure, ensuring a safe, functional, and productive workplace.

You will oversee vendor contracts, manage facility budgets, coordinate preventative maintenance, and ensure compliance with health, safety regulations while acting as the primary liaison between the organization and clients.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of facilities or operational management experience.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Ability to plan and oversee budgets and cost control.

Responsibilities

• Vendor Management: source, negotiate with, and supervise external contractors to meet SLAs.
• Budgeting & Cost Control: prepare and manage the annual facility budget and monitor operating expenses.
• Maintenance Strategy: oversee preventive maintenance for building systems to minimize downtime.
• Health, Safety, & Environment: ensure compliance with regulations and lead emergency drills.
• Space Management: plan office moves and renovations to optimize space.
• Soft Services Oversight: maintain high standards for housekeeping, front-desk, and cafeteria services.
