Job summary

Staffing Support Specialists in Glendale, WI seeks a Building Maintenance & Event Set-Up Technician to keep synagogue facilities safe, well-maintained, and prepared for daily operations, services, rentals, and community gatherings. Evening and weekend availability is required.

The role covers setup/teardown for events, AV setup and support (mics, projectors, screens), Zoom/livestream assistance, and routine maintenance.

Qualifications

• Experience in building maintenance or facilities management.
• Experience setting up and troubleshooting basic audio/visual equipment and virtual meeting platforms (e.g., Zoom).
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve minor technical issues during live events.
• Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; professional with staff, congregants, volunteers, and vendors.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, and perform manual labor.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends.
• Experience in a house of worship or nonprofit facility is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Setup and teardown for services, rentals, and events.
• Set up and operate audio/visual equipment incl. projectors, mics, speakers.
• Support Zoom meetings, livestreams, and hybrid events; basic troubleshooting.
• Ensure rooms and spaces are prepared and restored after events.
• Provide on-site support during events as needed.
