Job summary

Publix Super Markets is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support our Bakery, Produce, Meat, Deli and common areas by performing repairs and preventative maintenance on production equipment across stores in Georgia.

You will troubleshoot electrical, mechanical and gas systems, work flexible hours and travel to stores as required, including weekends and holidays. Strong CMMS usage and safety knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or its equivalent.
• Three years’ experience with mechanical/electrical troubleshooting and diagnosis of commercial food preparation equipment.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Must have or obtain Natural/Propane Gas certifications within 180 days of hire.
• Knowledge of CMMS computer program.
• Willing to travel to stores throughout the retail division, including nights, weekends, holidays, and extended periods.
• Willingness to be on call 24/7 when an emergency arises.
• Basic knowledge in Lock-out/Tag-out procedures and Food Safety.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, brazing, mechanical, and gas systems.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and use computer tools (Outlook, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Evaluating and making repairs on Retail equipment.
• Providing support to New stores, Remodels and PAD Programs for the company.
• Housekeeping tasks including vehicle inventory and paperwork.
