Job summary

Publix is seeking a Facilities Equipment Tech 2 to maintain and repair production equipment across store support areas. This role covers bakery, produce, meat, deli, and common areas, with a focus on reliability and safety.

You will diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, perform preventative maintenance, and coordinate with stores for remodels and PAD programs. Travel to stores in the Richmond area may be required; weekly schedule varies.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• 3 years of mechanical/electrical troubleshooting on food equipment.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Gas certifications within 180 days of hire are required or obtainable.
• Willingness to travel to stores across the division.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and repair retail equipment in multiple departments.
• Support new stores, remodels and PAD programs.
• Perform housekeeping tasks and paperwork such as vehicle inventory and credit card statements.
