Job summary

Ryder is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead the maintenance team, manage budgets, and oversee safety and reliability of equipment, buildings, and grounds. The role emphasizes cost-efficient parts replacement, vendor contracting, and preventative maintenance programs to minimize disruptions in warehouse operations.

The ideal candidate has basic supervisory experience, familiarity with transportation regulations, and a commitment to OSHA standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year in transportation, warehouse, or distribution environment.
• 0–1 year supervisory/leadership experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Federal and state transportation regulations; beginner level.
• Travel: No; Safety sensitive position.

Responsibilities

• Direct the maintenance team to meet objectives.
• Monitor performance to inform promotions and wage decisions.
• Communicate effectively; supervise, counsel, and discipline subordinates.
• Develop and implement performance evaluations for promotions and wage decisions.
• Track and repair building and equipment; ensure safe operations.
