Job summary

AMEWAS is hiring an Engineering Technician (Facilities)-Journeyman to support E3 facilities at Patuxent River, MD. The role entails hands-on maintenance, equipment operation, and coordination of test assets for aircraft and facility use in a defense environment.

The position requires a HS diploma or equivalent, 6 years of relevant experience, and the ability to work 2nd shift after a training period. Security clearance eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent
• 6 years of relevant work experience
• Ability to work 2nd shift (2:30 PM to 12:00 PM) after 3-month training
• 3 years of aircraft experience
• Experience using hand tools to support team projects
• Experience working with computers
• MS Office knowledge
• Ability to work overtime when required by testing schedule
• Ability to work well with others and maintain a positive attitude
• Ability to obtain and maintain DoD security clearance eligibility

Responsibilities

• Supports facilities in E3 group
• Maintains Hangar 144, AATF, ASIL facilities
• Coordinates Test Project Engineers' aircraft, facility use, and SE needs
• Delivers GSE to FRC for maintenance
• Schedules and obtains GSE from FRC for project support
• Maintains fueling ground support equipment
• Assists in aircraft fueling operations
• Purges aircraft
• Connects/Operates GSE carts for aircraft operation
• Operates government equipment (forklift, man lift, tug)
• Assists with crane rigging
• Conducts facilities maintenance
