Job summary

AMEWAS is seeking an Engineering Technician (Facilities)-Journeyman to support Electromagnetic Environmental Effects. The hourly range of this position is $35.64 - $52.76/hour and is commensurate with experience. This position is not eligible for remote work; on-site support is required.

A typical day includes maintenance for Hangar 144, AATF, and ASIL, coordinating test projects, and handling GSE needs. Candidates must be able to work 2nd shift after a brief training period and obtain necessary

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent.
• 6 years of relevant work experience.
• Ability to work 2nd shift (2:30 PM–12:00 PM) after training.
• 3 years of experience working on aircrafts.
• Experience using hand tools to support team projects.
• Experience working with computers and MS Office Suite.
• Ability to work overtime when required by testing schedule.
• Strong teamwork and positive attitude.
• DoD security clearance eligibility or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Serves as an Engineering Technician in E3 supporting facilities.
• Provides operations and maintenance for Hangar 144, AATF and ASIL.
• Coordinates test project aircraft, facility use and SE needs.
• Delivers GSE for maintenance and schedules its use.
• Maintains fueling ground support equipment.
• Assists with aircraft fueling operations and crane rigging.
• Performs facilities maintenance and operates various government equipment.
• Supports safety and teamwork in a high‑reliability environment.
