Job summary

HonorHealth's Thompson Peak Medical Center in Scottsdale, AZ seeks an Engineering Supervisor to oversee daily operations of the engineering department. The role ensures safe, efficient building systems and requires leadership across multiple trades.

Responsibilities include maintenance scheduling, complex troubleshooting, regulatory coordination, and collaboration with clinical leaders to plan improvements. This is a day-shift, full-time position supporting a major nonprofit health system.

Qualifications

• Trade School Certification or military engineering experience.
• Minimum of 10 years in building maintenance and engineering.
• Advanced proficiency in multiple trades (plumbing, electrical, or HVAC).

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the engineering team, including Building Engineers I–IV.
• Develop, implement, and maintain preventive maintenance schedules and procedures.
• Perform complex troubleshooting and repairs across plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
• Manage departmental resources, including staffing, equipment, and materials.
• Coordinate and support regulatory and preventive maintenance inspections.
• Collaborate with healthcare department leaders and PDC partners to plan and execute facility improvements.
• Ensure adherence to applicable regulations and standards (e.g., NFPA, CMS, FGI, ASHRAE).
• Maintain compliance with PCRA, ICRA, and ILSM requirements, including documentation and implementation.
• Adjust work schedules as needed to meet operational demands.
• Staff Development & Compliance Provide training, coaching, and development opportunities for engineering staff.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, and regulatory standards.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
