Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in building maintenance and engineering.
• Advanced proficiency in multiple trades (plumbing, electrical, or HVAC).
• Trade school certification or military engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the engineering team, including Building Engineers I–IV.
• Develop, implement, and maintain preventive maintenance schedules and procedures.
• Perform complex troubleshooting and repairs across plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
• Manage departmental resources, including staffing, equipment, and materials.
• Coordinate and support regulatory and preventive maintenance inspections.
• Collaborate with healthcare department leaders and PDC partners to plan and execute facility improvements.
• Ensure adherence to applicable regulations and standards (e.g., NFPA, CMS, FGI, ASHRAE).
• Maintain compliance with PCRA, ICRA, and ILSM requirements, including documentation and implementation.
• Adjust work schedules as needed to meet operational demands.
• Staff Development & Compliance: Provide training, coaching, and development opportunities for engineering staff.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, and regulatory standards.
