Job summary

Schreiber Foods is seeking an Facilities Engineering Manager to oversee refrigeration, steam, and air systems across manufacturing and distribution centers. You will lead a team of up to three engineers, drive reliability programs, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance while collaborating with the EHS team.

You will establish engineering standards, manage capital budgets, and guide preventive maintenance initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Chemical/Civil/Industrial or related).
• 10+ years in facilities engineering, refrigeration/steam/air systems.
• 4+ years leading large facility projects from concept to completion preferred.
• RETA certification preferred.
• Proven leadership, coaching, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Strong planning, budgeting, and vendor/contract management skills.
• Knowledge of energy efficiency, CAD/BIM, building codes and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and execution of new facility projects and utility systems.
• Establish engineering standards for US plant utility systems and ensure code compliance.
• Develop preventive maintenance and reliability programs to optimize lifecycle costs.
• Drive energy reduction targets and lifecycle cost improvements.
• Oversee budgets for facility projects and maintenance programs.
• Provide daily leadership to a team of engineers and mentor staff.
• Manage vendor relationships and contract negotiations; maintain scorecards.
