Job summary

NBCUniversal seeks an Engineering Supervisor to lead the Engineering team across NBCUniversal facilities in the Los Angeles area, supervising operations for central plants, mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, and overseeing vendor relations to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient building performance.

You will manage maintenance planning, asset data accuracy, SOP/KPI implementation, and emergency preparedness while coordinating with NBCU departments and site teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• 7+ years of experience in building engineering or related field.
• Working knowledge of Class A commercial building operations and fire/life safety testing requirements, including Los Angeles REG 4 where relevant.
• Proficiency with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and BAS, including troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of building codes, safety standards, and energy efficiency practices.
• Valid state Class C Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Execute weekly workplans, including preventative, corrective and reactive maintenance work orders via CMMS.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activity, equipment performance, repair history, and costs in the CMMS.
• Work closely with the Chief Engineer to support central chiller plants and other critical infrastructure at sites, data centers, and critical spaces.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems to ensure safe operations.
• Partner with Facility Operations on all MEP and critical infrastructure preventative maintenance programs.
• Participate in annual LAFD REG4 testing.
• Monitor N4 BAS to optimize energy use and system performance, report alarms to management.
• Collaborate with the Critical Infrastructure System team on ArcGIS projects and emergency strategies.
• Drive EAM processes with Asset Management to keep Master Asset List accurate.
• Develop and implement SOPs and KPIs with Facility Operations and Asset Management.
• Oversee vendor/3rd party services and ensure documentation and costs are added in CMMS.
• Ensure compliance tasks with NBCU departments (AQMD, OSHA, ADA).
• Support emergency preparedness drills and business continuity exercises.
• Enforce general safety, fire prevention, and safe working habits.
• Attend bid walks and assist with project oversight as needed.
• Support multiple sites in the Los Angeles area.
• Maintain OSHA 30-hour certification.
