Job summary

NBCUniversal is seeking a Facility Technician to ensure the efficient operation, maintenance and repair of building envelopes, systems, equipment, grounds and infrastructure. You will troubleshoot issues, perform preventive maintenance, respond to service calls, escort vendors on site and collaborate with contractors to keep facilities compliant and safe.

The role requires 3+ years in building engineering or facilities management, knowledge of HVAC, BAS and building codes, and a valid driver's

Qualifications

3+ years of experience in building engineering, facilities management or related field.
Understanding of Class A commercial building operations.
Proficiency with HVAC, plumbing, electrical and BAS.
Knowledge of building codes, safety standards and energy efficiency practices.
Valid state driver’s license.

Responsibilities

Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems including critical infrastructure.
Monitor BAS to optimize energy use and system performance.
Address and resolve building system failures promptly to minimize disruptions.
Respond to service requests and emergencies during and after hours.
Complete preventive, corrective and reactive maintenance work orders in the CMMS.
Maintain maintenance records and asset performance data in CMMS.
Oversee vendor and 3rd party contracted services.
Coordinate service calls with internal teams and external vendors.
Support safety and compliance tasks and event setups.
