Job summary

AbbVie Bioresearch Center in Worcester, MA seeks a Facilities Engineer to support safe, reliable facility operations and lead improvements across a multi-site campus. You will manage small-to-medium projects, coordinate with internal stakeholders and external vendors, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.

The role requires a technical engineering background, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and collaborative communication to support site infrastructure

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent technical experience with 2+ years in engineering/operations.
• Demonstrated discipline knowledge with practical application and problem solving.
• Ability to analyze situations/data and make judgments within procedures.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute facility projects including scope, schedule, and budgeting.
• Manage work orders in Maximo CMMS from creation to closeout.
• Host vendors on site and coordinate contractor activities.
• Conduct site walks and surveys to define scope and remediation plans.
• Troubleshoot facility/utility issues and coordinate corrective actions.
• Review drawings and specs to support maintenance and repairs.
• Ensure compliance with policies, safety expectations, and standards.
• Collaborate with internal/external customers and present information clearly.
• Demonstrate problem-solving to meet targets and implement improvements.
