Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a Site Engineer to support the Project Management team in planning, execution, and coordination of construction projects. You will assist with scope development, maintain schedules, coordinate field activities, and ensure timely completion of site documentation with a strong focus on safety and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate has a solid construction background, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to a safe, clean, and compliant job site.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Competency in a construction discipline is expected.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and apply them in the field.

Responsibilities

• Support the Project Management team in developing project scope, schedules, and field coordination plans.
• Coordinate onsite activities among internal teams, contractors, and multiple trades to ensure smooth project execution.
• Read and interpret construction drawings and assist with field implementation as needed.
• Complete and maintain field documentation, including permits, JHA, and scheduling inspections.
• Communicate updates, risks, delays, and field issues to the Project Management team.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, EHS and OSHA standards on site.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment at all times.
• Verify PPE use and keep site safety documentation current.
