Job summary

Vericel Corporation is seeking a Director of Facilities & Engineering to lead site utilities, manufacturing equipment, process instrumentation, and engineering services in a regulated biopharma environment. This onsite role supports Cambridge, MA operations and coordinates with Burlington, MA.

This role requires extensive leadership, project management, and deep knowledge of cGMP and FDA expectations to ensure safe, reliable operations and ongoing process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field (engineering).
• 12+ years in facilities/engineering in regulated manufacturing.
• Solid knowledge of cGMP and FDA expectations.
• Experience with CMMS and maintenance reliability programs.
• Leadership of multi-disciplinary teams and cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience with regulatory inspections or audits.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing Facilities & Engineering team.
• Set maintenance strategy, budgets, and performance metrics.
• Oversee site utilities, equipment, and process instrumentation.
• Manage capital projects from concept through handover and closeout.
• Ensure compliance with cGMP and regulatory requirements.
