Job summary

The Palms is seeking a General Engineer for a part-time, temporary role in Las Vegas to support operation and maintenance of fire alarm and building systems. The role involves preventative and corrective maintenance of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and related equipment, plus timely repairs and equipment installations as directed.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, responding to emergencies, and keeping meticulous maintenance records.

Qualifications

Must be at least 21 years old.
Valid Nevada drivers license.
Ability to communicate effectively with guests, team members, and management.
Must be able to work evening, weekend and holiday shifts.
EPA certification is required.
Minimum 2 years of refrigeration experience; 3 years in commercial/industrial setting preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and related systems.
Troubleshoot problems and take corrective action.
Respond to emergencies such as fire, power outage, gas or water leaks.
Maintain records of all equipment maintenance and repairs.
Install new equipment and systems as directed; assist management with major repairs or additions.
