Job summary

Holywater is seeking an Engineer to perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs across its venues, vessels, and facilities in New Orleans. You will support life-safety and compliance programs and help keep restaurant equipment, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other systems in top condition.

You must have 3+ years of multi-system facilities experience, boat-handling knowledge preferred, and be able to work evenings or weekends.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of skilled trade or facilities/maintenance experience across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, carpentry
• Experience in operation, construction, or management of facilities, restaurants, vessels, or small craft
• Boat-handling experience and familiarity with nautical terminology; USCG credentials a plus
• Knowledge of building and life-safety systems; ability to document and report
• Strong communication, highly organized, able to prioritize in a fast-paced multi-venue environment
• Comfortable coordinating with outside vendors and trades
• Provides own basic hand and handheld power tools

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and safety checks across venues, vessels, and properties
• Complete repairs and small build-outs using basic carpentry, drywall, and finish skills
• Paint, seal, and finish buildings, vessels, fixtures, and furniture
• Maintain small engines and outboard motors; support vessel readiness
• Support life-safety and compliance programs: service of extinguishers, alarms, cameras, grease traps
• Escort and support vendor work on site and verify quality
• Execute work orders, source parts, and communicate repair status and timelines
• Perform seasonal setup, maintenance cycles, pressure washing, and deep cleaning
• Be available for evenings and 1–2 weekend rotations; respond to emergencies
