Job summary

RockStep Capital seeks a Stationary Engineer to oversee mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems at the Riverwalk Outlet Center in New Orleans. You will handle daily facility operations, preventative maintenance, and safety compliance to ensure reliable building performance.

The role focuses on troubleshooting, system optimization, and coordination with tenants and management to support events and repairs. Strong licenses and 1–2 years of related experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years engineering or preventative maintenance preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Second Class Stationary Air Conditioning/Refrigeration license required per jurisdiction.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work with little supervision.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair center/building and equipment problems.
• Evaluate major systems for maximum efficiency (HVAC, lighting, plumbing).
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on fire protection, water features, VAVs, and power systems.
• Maintain lighting control knowledge and perform lighting quality checks.
• Coordinate with Marketing/Leasing on events and temporary installations.
• Ensure safety compliance with OSHA and other regulations.
