Job summary

Legends Global at NRG Park in Houston seeks a Full-Time Operating Engineer I to maintain central plant HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems and support facilities during events.

Must have a High School Diploma/GED, a 3rd Grade Stationary Engineer’s License, and EPA Refrigeration Certification. Will perform preventive maintenance, read blueprints, and work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.

Qualifications

• Understand the methods, principles, and practices required for the operation and maintenance of mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Be a skilled craftsman in the maintenance field.
• Provide mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
• Reading blueprints and schematics.
• Operate HVAC equipment safely and effectively.
• Follow safety, codes, and emergency procedures.
• Organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, repair and maintain the facility's plumbing, electrical and HVAC systems for safe operation.
• Assist preventive maintenance across multiple buildings.
• Perform maintenance, inspection and repair to uphold quality standards.
• Operate forklifts and scissor lifts.
• Maintain safety and housekeeping standards.
• Other duties as assigned.
