Job summary

Legends Global is seeking an Operating Engineer I to support the Central Plant at NRG Park in Houston, TX. You will operate, monitor and maintain HVAC, mechanical and plumbing systems across the facility while upholding safety and quality standards.

You will perform preventive maintenance, assist with repairs, and operate lifting equipment. The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, a 3rd Grade Stationary Engineer’s License, and EPA refrigeration certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• 3RD Grade Stationary Engineer’s License required.
• 2+ years operating HVAC/Mechanical/Plumbing in commercial/industrial facility.
• EPA Certification for refrigeration (I-III) required.
• HVAC training/certifications are a plus.
• Knowledge of water treatment and chemical handling.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, repair and maintain HVAC, mechanical and plumbing systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment across multiple buildings.
• Drive lift equipment (Genie Forklift, etc.) and assist with lifts and maintenance tasks.
• Follow safety, housekeeping and quality standards; work in a fast-paced environment.
