Job summary

Rivers Casino Des Plaines is seeking a maintenance professional for on-site duties in Des Plaines, IL. The role involves daily upkeep of building systems, carpentry, electrical, and preventative maintenance to ensure a safe guest environment.

Walk-in interviews take place every Wednesday from 12 PM to 2 PM with free parking and shuttle options from Rosemont Blue Line Station. Must possess a trade certificate, a valid driver’s license, and be able to work flexible hours.

Qualifications

• Experience in general maintenance applied to facilities in a hospitality environment.
• Trade certification is required and a valid driver's license is essential.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Maintain lawn areas in a well-groomed manner.
• Replace damaged ceiling tiles, floor tiles, and wall coverings.
• Perform day-to-day maintenance (electrical, structural, carpentry, general).
• Perform preventative maintenance to equipment on a scheduled basis.
• Handle routine calls, prioritized by guest service needs.

Job Functions:

• Maintain lawn areas in a well-groomed manner
• Replace damaged ceiling tiles, floor tiles, and wall coverings
• Perform day-to-day maintenance (electrical, structural, carpentry, general)
• Perform preventative maintenance to equipment on a scheduled basis
• Handle routine calls, prioritized by guest service needs
• All other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

• Knowledge of general maintenance procedures
• Trade certification required.
• 1 - 2 years maintenance and/or engineering experience, preferably in gaming or hospitality
• Must have a current valid driver's license
• Driving record must meet driver eligibility requirements of Rivers Casino's insurance policy
• Ability to share or divide attention among several ongoing activities, projects, or assignments
• Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team
• Ability to follow all policies and procedures including but not limited to attendance, appearance, safety, and security policies
• Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Frequent walking, standing, kneeling, twisting, bending and lifting
