Job summary

Colorado Convention Center is hiring a Building Engineer to install, maintain and repair mechanical, plumbing and HVAC equipment, and to operate the facility’s energy management systems. This hourly, non-exempt role supports safety and reliability, requires a high school diploma or GED and 2–4 years’ facility engineering experience, and involves shift work.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred; 2–4 years’ facility engineer experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work with diverse teams.
• Proficient with HVAC, mechanical systems, and safety codes.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and repair mechanical, plumbing, HVAC equipment and finishes.
• Provide utility services including compressed air, water, and drains.
• Operate the HVAC and energy management computer systems.
• Prepare sketches from blueprints and schematics.
• Maintain equipment in safety/code compliance.
• Stand shift as Building Operator.
• Support a safe working environment.
