Job summary

Inglis seeks an Engineer 1 to ensure safe, efficient operation of the facility's physical systems, including HVAC, electrical, and high-pressure vessel maintenance. The role requires reading blueprints and following safety standards, with potential vehicle operation.

Candidates should have a high school education, 5 years of plant engineering experience, and the ability to work independently with residents and staff. A valid driver’s license may be required.

Qualifications

  • High school education / GED or Trade School is required.
  • Must possess knowledge of Life Safety Code and NEC.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics and equipment manuals.
  • Must be able to make independent decisions when warranted.

Responsibilities

  • HVAC & Mechanical Systems: test, maintain, repair HVAC equipment and kitchen equipment.
  • Electrical Systems: inspect and repair electrical systems for safety and efficiency.
  • High-Pressure Vessels: maintain/repair high-pressure vessels; obtain Philadelphia Class A Stationary Engineer Certificate if not already held.
  • General Maintenance: carpentry, painting and related tasks to maintain facility standards.
