Job summary

Insight Global is hiring a Facilities Engineer to support operation, maintenance, and expansion of critical network and data center facilities. You will oversee maintenance, PM programs, capacity reporting, and infrastructure documentation for multiple sites.

The role involves managing power, HVAC, UPS, generators, and related systems, coordinating contractors and vendors, and ensuring projects are completed safely, on budget, and in line with company standards.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with SharePoint and MS Office Suite required.
• Understanding of power, grounding, HVAC, UPS and related testing equipment.
• Ability to read CLRs, floor plans and one‑line diagrams.
• Knowledge of AC/DC power architecture and operational fundamentals.
• Experience troubleshooting infrastructure issues with structured diagnostic methods.
• Familiarity with inventory control and asset management processes.
• Experience approving invoices, writing POs and SOWs, and managing vendor contracts.
• Understanding of standard network installation practices including equipment staging, circuit verification and cable management.
• Experience coordinating contractors and vendors for telecom or network infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of data center, central office or critical facility operations.
• Experience with preventive maintenance for generators, transfer switches, HVAC and other critical infrastructure.
• Exposure to construction projects, cabinet installations or service cross‑connections.
• Experience supporting network turn‑up, testing and commissioning activities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee facility maintenance and preventive maintenance programs.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors for upgrades and capacity expansion.
• Review and maintain infrastructure documentation across sites.
• Support testing, turn‑up and commissioning of network and data center systems.
• Participate in on‑call rotation and incident response as essential personnel.
• Ensure projects are completed safely, on budget, and to company standards.
