What You'll Do
- Lead day-to-day operations of a mission-critical data center facility.
- Maintain and improve reliability of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety, and building automation systems.
- Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Method of Procedures (MOPs), and Emergency Operating Procedures (EOPs).
- Oversee preventive maintenance programs and vendor service contracts.
- Manage facility projects including repairs, upgrades, and infrastructure improvements.
- Lead root cause analysis investigations and implement corrective actions.
- Monitor capacity planning for power, cooling, and space utilization.
- Coordinate with contractors, vendors, customers, and internal stakeholders.
- Train engineering staff on critical systems and emergency procedures.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and operational planning efforts.
What We're Looking For
Required Experience
- 5+ years of data center facilities experience.
- 10+ years of facility, building, or critical infrastructure operations experience.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire/life safety systems.
- Experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS) or Building Management Systems (BMS).
- Experience managing vendors, contractors, and maintenance programs.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot critical infrastructure and lead root cause analysis efforts.
- Ability to read and interpret building drawings, layouts, and technical schematics.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or related field.
- EPA Universal 608 Certification.
- Experience in colocation or mission-critical environments.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience.
