TEL US in Minnesota is seeking a full-time contract-position engineer to support cleanroom environmental controls, thermal management, and utility system maintenance. You will oversee feasibility studies, testing, and prototype fabrication with minimal supervision, and prepare technical documentation while collaborating across disciplines.

The role involves specifying materials and components for manufacturability, working with vendors, and designing mechanical systems as well as manufacturing

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related field.
  • 2 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Ability to work under general supervision and exercise judgment within defined procedures.

Job Description
This is a Full-time Contract Position
  • Assist with cleanroom environmental controls, thermal management systems, and utility system maintenance adhering to code requirements.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, testing, and prototype fabrication oversight with limited supervision.
  • Provide technical documentation and participate in cross-disciplinary collaboration.
  • Specify materials and components for manufacturability and collaborate with vendors.
  • Design mechanical systems and improved manufacturing tools including robotic wafer handlers and vacuum chambers.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to work under general supervision and exercise judgment within defined procedures.
  • Competent in technical communications and collaborative problem-solving.
  • Experience with CAD tools and test plan development.
  • Knowledge of semiconductor equipment design, vacuum and cleanroom systems, and thermal management fundamentals.
  • Proficient in applying engineering principles and problem-solving techniques with moderate complexity.
Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Certification, & Licensure)
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related field
  • 2 years of relevant industry experience
Salary Ranges
  • $26.00 - $34.80
  • Individual pay is determined based on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, experience, skills, job-related knowledge, relevant education, certifications, and/or training. In addition to base salary, we offer (full time regular employees ) a comprehensive benefits package and for certain roles eligibility in our bonus plan and long-term incentives as applicable.
