Equipment Engineer - Vacuum
Under the direction of the Sr. Manager or Director of Equipment Engineering, the Equipment Engineer-Vacuum is responsible for the evaluation, selection, order installation, modification, upgrade, and maintenance of semiconductor tools in an assigned area; uses AutoCAD, SolidWorks or similar software to draw diagrams or schematics; analyzes data, compiles reports, presents findings, and recommends corrective action if required; manages projects of various size, scope, and budget; consistently seeks opportunities to optimize tool performance, increase yield, and lower overall operational costs. This position is located in Milpitas, California.
Minimum Qualifications:
The annual base salary for this full‑time position is between $120,819.00 and $177,619.00, plus bonus target and benefits. The pay within the range may differ depending on additional factors including job responsibilities, job‑related knowledge, skills, abilities, education, and experience. The base pay range shown is subject to change and may be modified periodically.
The Equipment Engineer - Vacuum works primarily in an indoor environment from Monday to Friday. The schedule may be altered from time to time to meet business or operational needs; travel within the building may be required. Work takes place in a class100 ESD‑sensitive wafer manufacturing facility; a cleanroom suit, hood, gloves, safety glasses, booties, and mask are worn. Possible exposure to hazardous conditions, chemicals, fumes, gases, or loud noise. The job involves standing, walking, bending, twisting, and occasional crawling; may be required to work in crawl spaces, shafts, or other areas that could cause claustrophobia. Operations include fine grasping movements, operating a computer and keyboard, using a telephone, and other office equipment; occasionally push, pull, or lift up to 30 pounds.
