Job summary

Kroger Family of Companies is seeking a maintenance associate with strong carpentry skills to perform a variety of installation and repair tasks in retail facilities. The role involves hands-on work in stores, ensuring quality workmanship and safety standards.

Responsibilities include completing carpentry tasks, timely reporting, regular preventive maintenance, and managing expenditures within budget. Candidates should be detail-oriented, able to work in a team, and flexible with schedules

Qualifications

General carpentry experience in food retail and/or commercial facilities.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Ability to lift at least 25 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient PC skills including Windows XP, Excel, Outlook, and mainframe apps.

Responsibilities

Complete commercial carpentry tasks (drywall, flooring, cabinet/shelving repair, doors/windows, cement work, acoustical ceilings, locks).
Submit accurate time reporting and vehicle inventory per schedule via company programs.
Perform preventive maintenance in assigned stores at least twice per year.
Ensure maintenance expenses meet annual budget guidelines.
Must be able to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
