Dreyer’s Grand Ice Cream, Inc is seeking a Stationary Engineer to manage the operation, maintenance, and repair of boilers, HVAC, turbines, and building automation to keep production lines running safely.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, timely repairs, safety compliance, and energy efficiency, with supervisory duties over junior staff and collaboration with facilities teams.

Qualifications

• Experience operating and maintaining large building systems such as boilers, HVAC units, pumps, and electrical systems.
• Ability to perform preventive maintenance schedules and timely repairs.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for mechanical and electrical malfunctions.
• Commitment to safety standards and regulatory compliance (OSHA, EPA, GMP).
• Willingness to monitor energy usage and pursue efficiency improvements.

Responsibilities

• Operates, maintains, and repairs boilers, HVAC units, air compressors, refrigeration systems, pumps, and electrical systems.
• Performs preventive maintenance on building systems to prevent downtime.
• Diagnoses and resolves mechanical or electrical malfunctions promptly.
• Supervises junior engineers or maintenance workers and approves work orders.
• Ensures safety compliance with regulations and maintains accurate logs.
