Job summary

Socket.dev in New York, NY is seeking an Engineer to maintain boilers, HVAC systems, and related equipment for Belmont Grandstand and barn areas. The role includes installation, climate control responsibilities, and compliance testing per Nassau County and NY State guidelines.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Ability to work at heights and in varying weather conditions.
Knowledge of commercial equipment and safety procedures.
Ability to safely operate ladders and aerial lifts.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

Conduct routine inspections to identify damaged equipment and make repairs.
Set up safety barriers and warning signs in work areas to protect guests, employees, and contractors.
Follow all OSHA regulations, NYS and County, and company safety procedures.
Coordinate work and follow schedule.
Report maintenance concerns, hazards, and repair needs to management.
Assist with special projects, as it pertains with Engineers work.
Maintain inventory supplies, equipment and parts.
Keep work areas organized, clean, and free from safety hazards.
