Job summary

The Guthrie Theater seeks a Maintenance Engineer to ensure all building maintenance, HVAC, electrical infrastructure, and related systems function flawlessly. You report to the Director of Facilities and support daily theater operations with a flexible schedule.

Qualifications include a Class C Boiler License (or willingness to obtain it within 6 months), plumbing repair expertise, and strong communication skills. The role requires physical ability and a proactive safety focus.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining large facilities or complex buildings.
• Must possess a Class C Boiler License or obtain within 6 months of hire.
• Demonstrated plumbing repair knowledge.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Ability to work independently and switch tasks quickly while supporting team goals.
• Capability to lift up to 50 lbs and be on feet for full shift.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Guthrie property and HVAC systems to ensure proper operation.
• Assist Director of Facilities with building automation system and energy management.
• Perform routine inspections and safety checks; monitor temperatures and safety compliance.
• Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors for service and repairs.
• Assist with snow removal and grounds maintenance as needed.
