Job description

Facilities Engineer at Providence Portland Medical Center - Full-Time, Day Schedule.

Lyra Caregiver Assistance program – Up to 25 counseling or coaching sessions per eligible member per year.

The Building Engineer supports the environment required for the delivery of health care services. The building engineer is responsible for ensuring the reliability and safety of the building systems by monitoring, operating and maintaining building systems and equipment.

Required Qualifications:
  • Coursework/Training: Successfully completed a stationary engineer apprenticeship or equivalent training.
  • Experienced in operation and maintenance of fire alarm systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Coursework/Training: Trained in use of computerized building controls system (DDC) or equivalent educ/experience.
  • 3 years of experience in central plant operations and maintenance.
