Job summary

GDH is seeking a facilities engineer to manage FAA-specific facilities in Indianapolis, IN. You will monitor and maintain critical infrastructure—generators, HVAC, cabling, and site security—and coordinate security procedures while supporting telecommunications systems to ensure reliable operations across multiple locations with regional travel.

  • U.S. Citizen able to obtain FAA Suitability.
  • Minimum of 8 years' experience in facilities engineering or management.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent additional experience.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, power distribution, cabling standards, and building infrastructure.
  • Experience reviewing technical designs and contractor compliance.
  • Familiarity with safety and regulatory frameworks governing critical infrastructure.
  • Background in physical security standards for facilities management.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to support travel across various regional locations.
  • Must meet FAA suitability requirements.

  • Lead installation, testing, and maintenance of telecommunications equipment such as switches, routers, and fiber-optic cabling.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot critical DC power systems, rectifiers, and battery backups to support operational continuity.
  • Support and implement physical security protocols in accordance with regulatory standards.
  • Review technical design plans and contractor work for compliance with safety and infrastructure standards.
  • Ensure safety and regulatory compliance for all facility management activities.
  • Assist with troubleshooting and resolving infrastructure issues in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities and system updates.
  • Support regional travel requirements, including short and long-distance trips to various sites.

Role Summary

Publishing Pay Range

$46.00 - $51.00 hourly
