Job summary

Clark County is hiring a Facilities Electrician to perform skilled electrical work in the installation, alteration, maintenance and repair of wiring systems, fixtures and related equipment for county buildings and grounds. The role requires a journey level background with an active EL01 license and a commitment to safety.

The position is represented by Local 48 IBEW and is a limited duration role ending 12/31/2027.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of maintenance techniques for building and electrical systems, safety practices for electrical work.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, install, maintain and repair electrical wiring systems and equipment in County buildings.
• Install and service main service disconnects, panels, breakers and switching gear; operate generators and UPS.
• Study blueprints to determine equipment placement and materials needed; ensure NEC/WAC compliance.
• Maintain records and reports of work performed; document system changes for future maintenance.
• Perform other building and property maintenance duties as needed and assist other trades.
